Ria ten Bookum In 1995 I started drawing and painting because I  could no longer find words for everything that I saw and felt. By fully stepping into this development, I developed a way of expression that seems to go beyond time and space. Abstract intuitive, based on my inner drive to understand the images. With pastels, acrylic paint, oil paint and other materials, I gives shape to my inner feeling and experience. The colors and shapes depict her world through all times and show you beyond the imaginable. "Because you look with your heart!" .

In 2015 fI  did a short course in abstract painting with Femke Bourgonje. In 2022 I participated in Susanne Abee's open studio for a while and in 2024 I followed the visual language training of Marjolein Stoep, art academy online.
